The shortlist will be announced on September 9, and the £50,000 winner will be announced on October 14 at an awards ceremony in London.

Oy, I've only heard of four novels on that list and read absolutely none. That's bad.
I'm with you! But when I read a book that has won the Booker it is always amazing! I'll add some of these to my reading list.
