I just shushed two patrons. Finger to lips and everything. They did not teach me that in Librarian school ... I guess it just comes natural.

I've done that too. And afterwards I feel horrible. Not because I've had to tell someone to shut the H up but because I've fallen into the stereotype.
That's also why I won't wear pearls to work.
Yes, I hate falling into the stereotypes but I do love pearls ... I just make sure I wear them with a great outfit and awesome shoes :) But I will never have an eyeglasses chain.
